Wild Fruit
This morning I gave Grady and Liam some Delmonte apricot halves. I guess they had never heard the word "apricots", despite apricots being the mainstay of their fruit salads. After they practiced & perfected the word "apricot", I asked them if they liked how they tasted.
Liam said, "They tasted like 'apras.'"
Later he said, "Dad, I know why they call them apri-cots." "Why?" "Because they caught them."

He's Special
This guy has caught more than 3,000 balls at professional baseball games. I started watching it thinking I'd be interested in his technique, but my focus quickly turned to Steve Hartman's heroic feat of not rolling his eyes at this moron. No wonder Katie Couric's ratings are so low.

Cy, the one-eyed kitten

The story is more than a year old, but I've just stumbled upon it. A kitten was born with one eye and no nose, rendering it to look like a monkey-like creature. He lived just one day and was named Cy (cyclops). Full story here.

Bagel Fun
Liam had a mini-bagel for breakfast this morning and was lingering over it while Grady was cleaning up. Liam held up a piece of the bagel and started singing, "Horse in a bathtub, horse in a bathtub!" I asked him what he meant and he told me his bagel looked like a horse in a bathtub. Lo and behold, it did exactly.
