$198 fix. Coolant temperature gauge was faulty, causing those weird revving and acceleration problems. Hmmph.
Colleen asked me if the car had been unfixable what I would have been interested in getting. I asked, "Practical, or dream car?" She said, "Practical." I'd probably get another Volvo sedan -- probably a used S80 with less than 50,000 miles on it.
My old car, 1992 Volvo 240. Paid $12,000 for it in September 1995, sold it for $5,000 in November 2003:
My current car, 1995 Volvo 960. Paid $5,600 in October 2003, and have put in over $2,000 in repairs so far:
My next practical car, 2001 Volvo S80. Probably would cost about $17,000:
My dream car, the 2005 Bentley Arnage. Value-priced at just $199,990:
What kind of practical car would you get if you were forced to go car shopping? What is your dream car? Post in the remarks section below.
