Desperate times call for desperate measures

Check out this photo of the flood in the Philippines. Some very brave people chose to traverse the flood waters overhead on a tangled web of wires. I remember a particular wire in my neighborhood when I was a kid where a couple of times a year you'd find a squirrel completely fried, stuck to the wire in a grotesque pose. Obviously there was some kind of break in the insulation. And that was in a suburb of Washington, D.C. I can't imagine the not-to-code type of wiring that exists in the Philippines.
